WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE?
On the date of your appointment, we will meet for your consultation prior to performing your procedure.  The consultation time is VERY important because we will talk about what type of brows speak to your personal style, discuss your unique facial structure and do a preliminary (pencil) placement of your new brows.  Please come to your appointment with your brows as you would wear them every day. If you typically wear pencil, powder or gel, please come in with these on your brows. Also, photos are always welcome!  Examples of the look you love helps! This gives me a good idea of where you are at NOW with your brows.  We will work together to arrive at the perfect drawing on your new brows.  This is the longest portion of your appointment.
Once you are fully satisfied with the placement, shape, custom color  and overall look of the new brows, we will begin the procedure.

IS IT SAFE?  Yes.  Microblading is a safe and low-risk procedure when performed by a licensed, certified, conscientious technician.   Be sure to do your own thorough research before you book your appointment.  A few things to be aware of:  Does the micro blading artist have licenses and certificates in plain view?  Has she talked about the tools she uses and sterilization standards -The SPCP (Society for Permanent Cosmetic Professionals) advises that one-time use disposable microblade tools are the safest for both the artist and client and reduces the risk of cross-contamination in the work area?  Does the technician have a Blood-borne Pathogen Certificate reflecting a thorough understanding of how to prevent the spread of disease?  Have you seen her healed work?  Has she talked about whether you are a good candidate for this procedure?  The time to ask questions is before the procedure is booked!  There is no reason why micro blading can't be an amazing experience that adds convenience and confidence as well as beautiful results that you love!

WHAT ABOUT THE PATCH/ALLERGY TEST?

It is rare that someone experiences an allergic reaction to the pigments Suz uses - in fact, she's never had anyone do so yet.  Though not mandatory, Suz always prefers to err on the side of caution and encourages any person who has skin sensitivities to products in general to schedule a patch test.  Keep in mind that even though you may not have any kind of reaction to the patch test, it does not guarantee that you will not develop a reaction later.  Again, this is extremely rare.  If you would like to schedule a patch test prior to your micro blading appointment, let Suz know at least 1 week prior to your procedure.  If you choose to forego the patch test, you will need to complete the page in your Client Consent Forms by initialing that you acknowledge that choice.

WILL IT HURT?
Pain during the procedure is relative and varies greatly for each individual.  Suz uses a mild pre-numbing cream if needed.  Clients who have their period may feel stronger pain, while other clients compare the pain to the one they feel when tweezing eyebrows.   The first 25-30 hairs may be performed without numbing after which a topical anesthetic is applied to greatly reduce the pain during the treatment. You may sneeze and/or tear up.

WHAT WILL MY BROWS LOOK LIKE WHEN I LEAVE?
You will leave with beautiful new brows!  Color is extremely dark during the first 5 to 7 days.  Around 7 days later, it loses up to 25% of its intensity. You may feel your brows are too dramatic during the first week. Be patient!  After 7 days the color will settle down as the skin heals. During this later period, you may feel as though you are ‘losing’ your brows – Be patient!  This will subside as the healing process finishes.

CAN I GET MICROBLADING AND SHADING DONE SEPARATELY?
Yes!  Having microblading performed yields a flawless, high definition, hair-by-hair effect - the perfect way to get your brows back or to enhance your existing brow hairs. More and more clients are opting to have  Microblading together with Shading because shading 'fills in' around the individual hairs using a very light stippling technique giving the brows a 'powder effect' or more of a cosmetic look.   The effect is similar to what  you would achieve by adding quality brow powder or brow gel on your brows. Microblading alone gives you the option to apply these removable cosmetics  but you don’t need to.   It's basically a matter of taste, your own personal style and what look you want to achieve.

AFTER MY FIRST SESSION, HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BROWS AT HOME UNTIL MY PERFECTION SESSION?
Immediately following your appointment, we will go over post-procedure maintenance you will do at home. Post-treatment adherence  is 70% of the treatment’s success. Conscientiously obey advice. If you do not do so you may lose up to 80% of applied strokes. Following Suz's 3 part cleansing process and applying the provided topical balm is of great importance!

WHEN DO I COME BACK?
Final touch-up is done about 6 weeks after the first session.   Between 5 and up to 15% of drawn strokes disappear after the first treatment.
Healing is fully complete after about 28 days and at 6 weeks, we add additional hairs and pigment.  It is imperative that you keep your Perfection Session appointment.  If you fail to follow up for part 2 of your microblading appointments within 6 weeks, you will have to make a full session appointment at the price of your initial session.

HOW LONG WILL MY NEW BROWS LAST?
This primarily depends on your overall health, any medications you take regularly, skin type and adherence to the aftercare regiment.  For example, the oilier the skin, the shorter time the color lasts. Sweating and sun exposure also reduce color fastness.  Your aftercare document will contain a list of things you should avoid in order to retain your brows as long as possible.
On average, expected time until a new color refreshment is between 10 and 12 months at your discretion and can go as long as 2 + years.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR MICROBLADING?
For anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows with results that are natural-looking,  hair-like strokes, MICROBLADING IS IDEAL FOR YOU.  Regardless of the amount of the hair you currently have, microblading can give you a fuller, more symmetrical shape.

People suffering from alopecia, are post-cancer treatment  or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.
Suz is not a healthcare professional.  It is your responsibility to check to see if you are a good candidate for this procedure.  If you have any of the conditions on the below questionnaire, you MUST get approval from your doctor prior to receiving tattoo services.  Please take the time to visit this free questionnaire by clicking on the first link below:
